Stayed in many AirBNBs over the years and this is the only one that has exceeded expectations. I particularly liked the clear physical separation from the main house.

From the moment we arrived at The Potting Shed to the end of our stay Cathy and Geordie were amazing hosts and nothing was too much trouble.
You start to relax the moment you walk up the path to The Potting Shed through the beautiful gardens and over the wooden bridge. A peaceful haven surrounded by nature.
The peaceful haven continues once inside The Potting Shed with beautiful decor, super comfortable lounge, an amazing shower room with complimentary toiletries and in the bedroom one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in.
In the kitchen area we found the fridge was stocked with amazing good quality produce, including fruit from a local farm shop. The standard throughout the shed was 5 star. It is the most perfect place to relax and unwind.

An absolutely fantastic long weekend in The Potting Shed. Everything was perfect from the wonderfully cosy accommodation to the beautiful setting in an idyllic village with great country walks on the doorstep! Cathy is a superb host and provided some excellent recommendations for nearby pubs and walks. One of the best places we’ve been lucky enough to stay at!

Cathys place is as amazing as ever and it felt like we were coming home. Cathy has adapted to the Covid situation with flying colours. The Shed is exceptionally clean with a fully stocked fridge and all bathroom essentials with a fantastic shower too. I can not recommend the Shed highly enough as it is beyond fabulous – A plus plus

“Where to even begin? The Potting Shed was as lovely as the photos suggest, tucked away off a quiet road in the picturesque village of Wickhambreaux with its own garden space – a great place to relax and unwind in the sunshine, surrounded by nature and birdsong. The ‘shed’ was spotless, beds super comfy and the fridge stocked with delicious breakfast treats which kept us going over the four days we stayed there. We worked there for a couple of days too and found the wifi to be better than our own homes! Cathy and Geordie were the perfect hosts and we would love to return again in the near future.”

“My wife and I had a fantastic weekend stay. The Potting Shed would be wonderful on its own but the beautifully kept garden, wonderful hosts (two and four legged) and stunning area meant we had a memorable time. We were apprehensive about staying somewhere for the first time since lockdown was lifted but with Cathy being so thorough with cleaning and having excellent communication we were at ease. Great stay, hope to return! Thank you.”

A fabulous place to stay with thoughtful extra touches. The breakfast and local strawberries were delicious. The hosts were extremely helpful with taxi number that is based in the village. A relaxing place to spend a night or two and we will definitely be back! We could not have asked for more. Many thanks.

What a wonderful find this was! Such a quiet and remote area but also very close to restaurants and pubs so the location really was perfect! The accommodation was perfect for two with personal touches here and there and absolutely everything you can think of for breakfast, taking into account peoples different needs ie healthy options. It was extremely tidy and clean and very welcoming! Not to forget the lovely hosts Cathy and Geordie who respected our privacy but also welcomed us warmly and helped recommend places to visit nearby. I couldn’t recommend this place more!

Outstanding B&B. Absolutely loved it. Extremely well presented and comfortable. Easy walk to great local pubs for dinner. Very close to gardens and attractions. The best B & B we have stayed in. Highly recommended.

Better than a hotel. The Potting Shed is an ideal location to get away. This accommodation has been outfitted to a high standard and is in an idyllic location outside Canterbury. We loved it and highly recommend it. You won’t be disappointed. Cathy and Geordie are fabulous hosts.

This is a wonderful place to stay, near Canterbury, and located in a fine nature setting in a typical age old village. Cathy is an attentive host, we were at home here and all was more than perfect! Thank you, and we hope to visit you again one fine day 🙂

This is a beautiful, peaceful place surrounded by birds tucked away in the beautiful village of Wickhambreaux. Local walks and countryside were lovely with local pubs within walking distance from the house. Cathy and Geordie welcomed us warmly on our arrival. The shed is beautifully decorated, clean and well organized to make you feel comfortable and at home. The private patio is a plus to the house as it give you a private place in the garden. They are very generous with the breakfast supplies and lots of nibble too. If you are looking for a place to stay in Wickhambreaux, this will be the place you will love.

A really lovely spot – very very comfortable with everything you could need. Cathy was great – not the we needed anything because everything was already there. So many lovely little touches and such a beautiful surroundings. Couldn’t recommend more!

Our stay in Cathy and Geordie’s Potting Shed was superb.  The ‘Shed’ is really a luxury retreat – very comfortable, set in their beautiful garden although we felt secluded from the house. They have brought the surrounding countryside ‘inside’ by choosing natural colour schemes and fabrics which reflect country colours. Our little granddaughter, whom we were visiting, loved the pouffe  – it must have looked like a forest to her! Cathy thought of everything! She provided an excellent range of consumable items in the kitchen area; she informed us about the heating and hot water and she gave us her contact numbers in case we had any questions. All in all, we enjoyed a lovely relaxing few days in Wickhambreaux.

You will love the Potting Shed! Cathy is the perfect host and gives you the best welcome and experience you could wish for. Her style and attention to detail, comfort and cleanliness are exceptional; the location, atmosphere and tranquility provided the additional wow factor! You’ll want to visit again and again!

“Just spent a week at Cathy and Geordie’s brilliant ‘Potting Shed’, it is so much more than a B&B, it’s a home away from home. Beautiful accommodation and grounds, lots to do and see in the surroundings. If you want to spend a couple of days in the Canterbury arena, look no further, this is it!!”

Cathy’s Potting Shed really is the most amazing find! It’s set in the most beautiful garden in a wonderful area. The house is amazing! So comfortable and clean and really homely. We could not have asked for any more. Cathy herself is a super host, and it felt like seeing an old friend. Thank you so much Cathy, we will definitely be back!
